does anybody have a pic or illustration of the location for the valve cover studs? The pics i took for referance before teardown did not save to my phone. I dont want to do the trial and error thing.Btw its on a 98 vdp 4.0. also as i was searching thru web and forum, i read that it might be in jtis but i have yet to gain acces as my only computer's operating sys is not compatible

 

I have an '01, but I haven't seen any pics that show where the studded bolts are, although as I recall, you can look at the engine covers and tell where the top ones are located and then there is one on the left cover bottom for the dipstick.

It looks like, starting with the front top corner as the first one, they are every other bolt going toward the rear. That plus the dipstick stud.
