What's your highway RPM at?
I think my brake light switch is bad, causing my cruise control to not work, and my rpms seem a couple hundred off. Brake lights work fine though haha. Rpms are around 2300 going 65 and 2600 going 73-74?
You got a free Thank You, click on the button by mistake.
But, anyway, if the brake switch wasn't working the brake light would either stay on or wouldn't come on at all. So you can 99.99% take that off the list.
The RPM's does sound alittle off, at 2600 RPM's, I'm rolling at 80 MPH.
Check the fuses for the Cruise Control, does the button on the on the center console light up?

Lol thanks, well they used to stay on a while ago so that's why I'm leaning towards the brake switch. The light on the cruise control button does light up, but if you're using cruise control, hit the brakes, and try to engage cruise control again it wont work unless you turn off the car or wait quite some time. Yeah going 80 I'm closer to 2800. About to install the new switch I'll keep you posted.
Okay well the brake light switch was the culprit for the buggy cruise control! Finally have cruise control again, might be in my head but I think the rpms dropped a bit but still seem high, hopefully a fluid change will help since its never had one. Any recommendations on what tranny fluid?
Nice work, I was going to stay to go ahead do the brake switch since it did give you a problem in the past.
As for the fluid change, I never did it, you going to have to do a search or start another thread.
