Before you get to the right forum you might look up how to spell "transmission"

Perhaps you could tell us exactly what you had done?

While I am sure we are all happy for you, it would be nice to get enough info to maybe help others.

As long as the 'whoopee' is still there every time you drive it.

There was a leak where the cable goes into the tranny, So had to fix that and replaced fluid. I've seen in past posts that the fluid change will eliminate the whoop. Although, the whoop is not detrimental, or so I'm told. Hope that helps

Can you describe "the whoop"? I'm having trouble imagining it.

I have a whoop. Gonna change the filter and some ohter parts (like the wiring sleeve mentioned) and see if that fixes it.

My experience is that fresh ATF which meets the required specs (in the ZF 6HP26 transmission, a great choice is Ford's Mercon SP) always resolves the momentary sticking clutch pack noises during upshifts described here as "the whoop". This was the case in both my now-sold 2005 S-Type 3.0 and my wife's 2006 XK8....

Hi mbates50,

I have moved your thread from the forum for the X308 to the forum for the X100.

Congratulations on your newfound whooplessness. Can you please tell us exactly what work was done on your transmission that eliminated the whoop?

Cheers,

Don

From what I can gather it was the changing of the ATF. The original was drained and ZF put in. It's Jag part number C2C8432. I've heard from other members that this eliminated the 'whoop'.
