Default Will XJ8 wheels clear XJR brakes?

I really like the smaller luxurious look of the 16 inch X308 wheels on the XJ8 over any of the larger sport wheels for the XJR. Question being, will the 16 in clear the brakes on the XJR? I have a 2001 XJR.

They will clear the rear brakes but not the front.

You could try 17's.

I know the 17" will fit.

I have a set of 17" XK8 wheels -- they were new take offs from a late 90's coupe. I used them as summer tires on my x300 VDP and kept the original 16" for a set of snows.

Today, I have a set of snows mounted on the 17's and keep the OE 18's for summer.

IMO the 16's looked small -- I really liked the 17's on the VDP. The move from 16's to the 17's made more of a visual difference then the change from 17 to 18's.

I had a feeling the front would be an issue. I love the power of the Rs but love the sleeper style of an XJ8 as I have had a 2003 XJ8 and they to are quick. Looks like I will be going with the 17in VDP wheels 2001-2003.

Thanks guys.
