Window and Sunroof Module Reset - Driver's Window Won't Roll Down/Sunroof Won't Open

I've done reading across a few different posts and I cannot find a definitive solution. What is causing the module to be reset (power loss at some point) where the driver's window won't go down and the sunroof won't stay open? Multiple hard resets only lasts for so long. The battery is pretty new in the car. The battery is not getting drained when parked as the car will start after sitting for long periods over multiple weeks without issue. I'm going to replace the fuse just to ensure there isn't something suspect, but are control module failures common? Can they be fixed if you have some electronics experience?

hard reset

try another hard reset hold negative cable to positive for at least 15 seconds this seems to reset everything. I only used to hold it for 5 seconds then would have to do it again after a month or so worth a try jrb53

I had a similar problem with the driver's door of my car, turned out the latch needed to be replaced

Is this the latch mating to the B pillar?

Where can I learn how to reset the module

Remove the negative (black) battery cable from the battery, and hold it against the positive (red) battery cable for 15 seconds.

As the negative battery cable is disconnected the battery is not in the circuit and does not cause a short, but if you are still cautious, remove both negative and positive battery cables and touch them together.

Also pull fuse #15 from drivers side rear heel board & reinsert. This resets the drivers door control module, this worked for me when I had similar issues, mine turned out to be voltage related.
