cable is not attached at latch under bonnet suspect broken. how do I get the bonnet up? drivers side.

I would add that it is very helpful to have a look at another X-308 before going at it. Disconnect the battery before you start (make sure your key works or be damned sure to prop the boot up!) and then be careful to not get into the power cables located near the latch.

 

Take the wheel off and drill a 3/4" hole in the fender to allow using a screw driver to pop the latch. (find a plug first that will fill the hole. The exact size isn't critical). The hole will be closest to the latch in the wheel arch. Check other threads on the forum. They may explain it much better. Not really that bad. You can then remove the latch until you have time to repair it. Good Luck
