Hey guys, since I bought the car I noticed this weird thing would happen when I disconnected the battery to service something and then reconnected it. When I reconnect the battery, the mileage doesn't show and instead these weird symbols show. Then when I turn the key, the mileage shows as 48560 and then it changes to what it always shows which is 71500 and counting. I included a link to the video below. Any ideas? Has anyone seen this before or had this happen?

 

Mine does the same thing. Even that same number before going to actual. I always just figured that something had been done to my car at that mileage, but maybe it's a code of some sort. I haven't experienced any bad effects, except for some momentary revving while the computer relearns.

 

I agree, the car runs like a top. I am just curious what the weird symbols are and the number. Does yours also say the same number before the mileage of 48560?

 

I think i does, but cant swear to it Since it makes no sense to me it hasn't made a mark in my memory.

yes that’s exactly when it happens. Was curious if anyone knew what it means or what the numbers mean before it displays the mileage.

 

It could simply be a self test for the cluster circuits.
In re-reading this, I find it odd that I never noticed Both of mine doing the same thing and having the same number, but I once I saw yours it triggered the memory. Weird, huh.
