Andrew,

You now have 4 threads in this forum with various versions of 1989 Vanden Plas as the title and asking a number of different technical questions. It will help members to immediately understand what you are asking and to give accurate advice if you use the thread title to indicate your question AND to keep each thread on ONE topic. Such a title for this thread would be Should I replace the fuel pump?

I've added vehicle details (1989 XJ6 Vanden Plas) to your forum Signature and this will appear automatically with your next post.

I would pull your injectors and check them, as well as changing out the fuel filter. If it sat for four years, there's a good chance there was some moisture in the tank and it caused some rust, even if very minor. I had my 89 VDP not run right because gunked up injectors which can be cleaned, typically. Also, your pump is underneath on the driver's side, just ahead of the rear wheel. It's pretty easy to get to (I think you asked on another thread).

I will ABSOLUTELY NOT respond to any posts regarding misspelling Jaguar Models and multiple posts from a new member that will not follow rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You do not know what car you have and confuse the issue with constant duplicate posts!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
