Alarm location

my 91 xj40 has a neon on stearing cowel, i assume the car hs has an alarm and im hopeing a standard jag one, however i cant seem to locate the control unit, has anyone any ideas where it would be located?[/align][align=left] [/align]

That sounds like an aftermarket unit. No telling where they put the thing.

It's not a factory piece. Must have been installed by the PO. I would think they would tuck it under the dash. That's where I would start.

ok i found it and its an aftermarket, a sarpi star gm22, looks like a new alarm install for me, as it hasant got a horn or key fob
