Driver’s Window won’t roll & Right mirror fault
Hello guys, this is 1993 XJ40(XJ6) owner from Taiwan. My XJ40 driver’s window wont roll, and sometimes when I open door to 45 angle it can roll, but it will fault again later. I open my door card and reorganize window switch box but still doesn’t work, and my Right side mirror suddenly doesn’t work too, anyone can help me! |
If your window will work when the door is open, it seems like you should look at the area of wiring that flexes when the door opens. You may have a broken wire (or two with the mirror) at the body -to- door area. Good luck.

but can’t up and down moving |
Check for corrosion or a loose plug at the switches and at the plugs to the motors too. The mirror has separate wires for up- down and left- right. When removing the trim panels the wood slides forward off of clips and there is a screw hidden behind the air tube at the top front, besides all of the normal places....
