Low Level Sensor
I am in the market for a Low Level Sensor (DBC5578) for the expansion tank on the 1990 XJ40.
When doing my front shocks I inadvertently broke the one on the car. A good used one will work for me. In the meantime I am looking at who has them for sale if I can't get a used one. Coventry West has one for 88-89 (DBC2111) but I don't know if it is the same. |
Coventry West informed me that the coolant low level sensor on the 93-95 XJ40 is the same with the exception if the connector. I purchased one based on their information.
They told me that all I would have to do is switch the connector from the old to the new. I will let you all know if they were correct. Keeping my fingers crossed on this. |

Ah never mind, I was going to ask for more information. I thought this was relevant but had the part wrong for the 1994 XJ12 which is DBC5546. . |
DBC 5546 is the Low level sensor that Coventry West is sending me. They say that with the exception of the connector, DBC5546 can interchange with DBC5578 (my part number).
I am getting the part today and will post the results tomorrow. |
