New XJ40 Owner

Hello all, I figured I'd introduce myself after getting an XJ40 this last week. I have been around Jaguar Forums for a bit now, but I don't post a whole lot. I'm in the process of rebuilding my '73 Series I XJ6, but that has turned into a bit of a long term project. I recently picked up my 1989 XJ6 VDP off of Facebook Marketplace for $900. It ran but was missing bad, and it seemed to be in good shape, all things considered. I drove it home (about ten miles) and aside from crappy idle and no power, it wasn't too bad. Anyway, the PO stated it had sat for a bit and he had the fuel pump replaced, the fuel filter replaced twice, new tires, new battery, and all the original manuals. He also threw in the Haynes manual and a parts book (XKs Unlimited catalog if I remember correctly). Anyway, I started going through all the basic tests for spark, checking and cleaning plugs, checked continuity on the wires, and compression, etc. I pulled the fuel rail and pulled off the number four injector and it was packed full of crap to the rim. I then pulled them all and soaked them, set up a rig with compressed air (low PSI), a hose with some cleaner, and an old injector plug to flush cleaner through them. I put them back in and hoped for the best, only, it didn't start. Turns out, I replaced the plug wires one cylinder off and didn't realize it. Fixed the orientation and if fired right up on all six cylinders. I'm into this car about $1100 including taxes, registration, etc, and I love it. It has its issues, but its fun to drive. I went to my local pick-a-part and found a quad headlight setup begging for me to buy it, and have already installed that (my wife's only condition for driving it was to get rid of the square headlights). Anyway, I look forward to asking a few questions here and there and learning a bit more about these models. I've attached a picture of her, new headlights and all (don't worry, I'll be painting the headlight trim when I get some color matched paint...).
