Perplexing Transmission Problem XJ40 / Daimler Double Six-FIXED

Dear Readers.
I am a new member and have a perplexing problem. I own a Daimler Double Six Insignia 1993 V12, 6.0L and live in Hong Kong (VIN 684715). The car has 30,000 miles and has developed a very frustrating habit that I can't solve. When the car drives for roughly 20 miles and gets warm, the transmission warning light comes on and it kicks into limp home mode. I shut the car off, let it cool down, and it drives fine until it heats up again, usually about 20 miles. The light then comes on again. At first I thought it might be the transmission pump and this was replaced by a transmission specialists. He then suspected that the transmission (4L80e) harness needed to be rewired. Sure enough, it did. It was rewired but the same problem persists. Can anyone give me some advice on what to check next?
Thank you. Charles

However I am pleased to see that you have eventually solved the problem and despite the lack of replies, have taken the time to let us know.

The forum is normally better than this.

Welcome aboard, and please forgive us.
