Quad headlights conversion

Hi all, after a long search, I just found and bought a 1994 XJ40 Vanden Plas (United States model). I'm now looking to swap out the rectangular fishtank headlights for circular quad lights. Would quad lights from any 1988-1990 XJ40 be compatible? I found a few options on ebay:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/88-89-90-91...ry!02132!US!-1
https://www.ebay.com/itm/88-89-90-91...YAAOSwAC1Z6NvB

but the sellers seem to say that they're only compatible through 1992 MY., If that's the case, I wasn't sure where to find 1994 compatible sets. ..

Any insight would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Are the extremely ugly, worthless 94MY fishtanks in good condition? How much do you want for them?

Hmm, that's weird, I thought you could convert any of the '40's. I think you need the bulb fail modules to go with the quads, or do your own wiring mods, because the bulbs are different.
The trickiest part of the job is removing the old lights - at least if you want them removed in one piece. There are 4 nuts accessed from under the hood. The studs for the nuts are encased in the plastic frame, and tear out if the nut is at all rusted to the stud. Then you are left spinning. If you apply heat to loosen the nut, it may melt the stud out. If you get spinning, and don't care about saving the light, then apply heat to the nut/stud while prying, and it will pull out of the frame. You might be able to glue the stud back in place and use it after.
I have a pair of NOS quads, with grey headlight doors, for $100 plus post. I should have the BFM's too.
Good luck,

Thanks, guys!

Rob, would definitely be interested in purchasing your quads, assuming they fit the 1994 MY. Could you PM with pics?

Larry, the fishtanks work and are in good condition from what I can tell. Car's currently at the shop but I can send you pics when it's back.
