rear suspension

Hi again.

After having my central locking problem sorted,i have one more annoying problem.
When going over a rough road there is a dull thud coming from the rear end.
This is more noticeable at low speed then high speed but is there all the time when going over rough surface.
The car has new shockers ,new tyres and as far as i can tell there is nothing loose.
Any advise welcome.
Thanks.
Keith.

You mentioned new shocks. Standard or self leveling? Original springs? Bushings?
I ask because I've read that if you converted from SLS to standard shocks, you may need to change out the springs as well, because the SLS springs were assisted by the SLS shocks.

If the shock bushings (top and bottom ) are tight, and the springs are the right length, check to see if the front mounts to the body are tight with no movement(they are the bolts that go vertically into the body below the rear doors) my 90 had this problem once fixed noise went away.
