I'd just like to say thanks to everyone on this forum for their help both directly and indirectly. Other forums I've been on, both on Jaguar Forums and others (a certain 80s BMW one comes to mind), rags on anyone for not "searching" first. You guys and gals are all helpful regardless. I recently had a very stressful drive to work in my '89. It had snowed a couple inches, but started raining, and my heater couldn't keep up defogging the windows. After a quick search I found it to be a plugged duckbill. I haven't had an issue since. I was also thinking about doing the vacuum brake conversion and the info given on the first thread or two i found were perfect for my situation. The XJ40 used to be one of my least favorites of the older Jags, but now it's one of my favorites. A good portion of the respect i have for these cars comes from this forum and all the info so many people contribute. Again, thank you, and i hope to contribute a little more as time progresses.
