Default Tire Help !

Hi, I bought a 1993 xj40, Beautiful car, Needs a few
standard maintenance repairs, One of which is Tires. I
looked at the tires on the car & replaced them with the
same size, Hankook Optimo H727 - 205/70/15 / 95T / 700 A B, $90
each, Not garbage tires. This car will be my daily driver, No highway driving, Avg 40-60mph. Will I have trouble because of the speed or weight rating ? The size is listed in the book as an optional size & it looks very close to the 225/65
Any thoughts ?
Thanks
Jim

I can say that those tires you mentioned is out of proportion in other words no suitable , proper stuff for your ride
Why not use 225/65 / 15 .
Yokohama V shaped what I use and very comfy .

PS - Please ignore 225 / 65 / 15 the correct size is 225 / 60 / 15

225/65/15 seem to be unavailable any where, even Pirelli no longer list them on their site.

What size Yoko's have you got there Caddie?

I discovered that it would be cheaper for me to buy aftermarket larger rims and tyres rather than 4 Pirellis. Heck even a rough XJ40 with decent rubber as a whole spares car would be cheaper.

Although I believe that some of the Vette guys go to 245/60/15 which are available BFG. Don't know if they would rub at full lock on a Jag though.

The issue you might see is a false speedo/odo reading under.

205x70% = 143.5
225x65% = 146.25
245x60% = 147.00

No problem my friend. I currently run 225/65/15 but I think that I must have bought the last of them anywhere.

Just thought that you might have found a secret source.
