Default 1974 Early Series 2 XJ12L "RESCUED" OG British Racing Green

Hello All,
New to "Jaguar Land", I am an active member of the Mercedes Benz Club Forum, and have decided to branch out a bit. This early series 2 1974 XJ12l, was headed for the crusher as I was sitting in a garage here in South Phoenix, and there is a car recycler 1 block away. I went over and negotiated him to "drop" it off at my house for a very reasonable price. It started today off of "clean" gas in a gas can. I am a retired Navy Vet and like to tinker. I am going to keep it all original and run it at the salt flats?????180mph here we come!!

Good find. I miss being close to the scrap yard, use to get all sorts of cool parts and cars for cheap.

Very nice. A bit of a bath and some polish and it should be stunning.

That muffler "hanger' looks very un Jaguar. Old tech muffler shop look.

Enjoy.

Around here, junk yards not likely to sell entire cars for decent prices. Their business model indicates a far better return on investment by selling a piece at a time. Ie, the sum of the parts exceeds the whole.
