A few days ago I was driving and when I stopped and turned the car off, all the left side door lights and the two top interior lights stayed on. The two drivers side door lights functioned properly (Turned on when the door was opened, turned off when closed.) but thats all that worked.

The first time that happened, I disconnected the battery so it wouldn't die and a couple hours later after I reconnected the battery I drove it again and everything was normal.

This time the same thing happened, but it didn't return to normal. I don't look forward to having to disconnect and reconnect the battery every time I use the car, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, I meant all of the right side (passenger side) door lights and the two top interior lights stayed on.

 

This may sound weird but check your power antenna fuse. If the fuse is blwon some sort of back-feed occurs and can cause the interior lights to stay on.

If that doesn't help we'll have to dig deeper.

I'd see if one or more of the door post switches is sticking open or if the ground wire that attaches to them is finding it's own path to earth. Loose or chafed.
