2.88 LSD Carrier spacer
I have a 2.88 LSD PowerLok carrier and have located a set of 3.31 gears that i would like to install, I understand that the 2.88 carrier uses the "Thick" gear and and that a spacer will be required to make work.
does anyone know the specs of the spacer required? or where to purchase one, but would prefer to build one if someone would share the specs.

There is another way far easier, better and slightly cheaper.
Purchase a Auburn locker center section for Dana 44. Use the dana 44 side bearings. In order to bolt up the 3.31 ring you will need to drill out the through holes on the carrier. This takes about 5 minutes and then the Jag ring will bolt up to the Dana 44 carrier perfectly. Then It will drop in and set up the diff in the traditional way.

This way you will have a new and properly working locker, you wont need a spacer which I was never able to find. It also works out to be slightly cheaper then rebuilding the Jag unit becasue Jag parts are dear and Dana 44 parts are not.
This is what i did years ago and I've got lots of 12 second passes behind me.
Works perfect and its dead quiet.
