Default 50 bucks for a new sunroof seal and i broke it!!!

Damned rubber seals!! they are gonna be the thing that sends me over the edge!!!! got the old one out, even got the new one in along the side with the lips, but with all the pushing and prying and blunted plastic drywall knifing after it was in it had stretched!!! pulled it out and started again, using liquid soap, this time i almost had it but i pulled back a small section as the back lip was going in and out and it was sitting odd and the thing tore in half!!!!!!, Does anyone know of a special tool for this job????
On the bright side, its not like replacing the seals around the doors, i don't have to lay on my back, its on the dining room table!!!

Ordered a new one, and all the new rubbers for the front and back glass!
I recently got my hands on the jag manuals, and in there is teh step by step directions of replacing the glass! i may give it a whirl (being as last guys screwed it up) gotta find a place that sells betaseal!!!

You could always seal it up with clear packing tape, Darren, or even colored Duct Tape that either matches or complements your paint color. I'm sure you could find an appropriate shade.

For installing the sunroof seal I read a piece by Doug Dwyer that recommended using silicone spray and Popsicle sticks to push the seal into the channel. That method worked for well for me, and I'm pretty clumsy with things like that. I'll see if I can find a link.
