72 XJ6 - just bought

Picked up this jag from a fellow Fort Worth resident. It's in great shape, but the guy I bought from has removed the drivetrain. I'm thinking about putting my drivetrain from the 73 into the 72. If not, it'll be a great parts car.

Looks too good to part out

But, if you do, I would purchase the antenna and bezel on top of the fender.

Oh Wow! That's WAAAY too nice for a Parts Car!!
Think of the lack of drive train as a blank canvas; you can put Anything you want in it!

Ditto in spades!!!

Much too nice to go to waste?

What in the world did the PO have that deserved the drive train more than this beauty???

Sidelight. The license frame. Ojai is a community in Socal circa Ventura and Santa Barbara.

Very nice and memorable. In about 1964, I was the Assistant Claim Manager of my employers LA office. Bonds were a significant part of our business. A recession put many contractor's in default. My HO
insisted that I do the claims. PITA. Wrestle with HO every step of the way, They in the Ivory tower and I on he ground doing the work and taking the heat. Oh, my duty to ride herd on the staff remained!!!!

Stop whining!!! Amongst others, I "built" Matillija Highs school class rooms and gym in Ojai and McGrath State Park nearby.

I would loved to move to Ojai, but never could figure out a way
to make a living there!!

Bet a sweet little GM V8 / OD trans would drop right in there and be a really nice driver.. imho

Way too nice for a parts car, that body is better than my driver.

Or a major jump into the future/present. . A turbo'd Ecotec Ford V6.
Family, in a way???

Just watched Gas Monkey garage take what looked like a nice old Pantera from it's 351 Cleaveland power to an Ecotec but with bigger turbo's!!!

Looked good, sounded good and went good!!!

Big $'s, yup. Richard paid ten large for an entire truck to get the power package!!!

I am working on a similar project, except yours is in way better shape.

The drivetrain as from the donor vehicle

The project vehicle. Acquired for €200

It's white, yellow, grey and even a bit of red!

I was able to swap over panels from my red donor vehicle.
