85 XJ6 (S3) Headlight Fuse

Hello! new user here :)

Was just wondering if anyone could give me the correct fuse size to use in the headlight fuse box.

Sorry for low quality pic (phone cam).

Long story short, the second fuse from the left was 'misplaced' and I've only some idea of what is meant to be there (20A 10amp from what i can tell by the faded paper inside).

If anyone could help it'd be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks in advance!

Low beams use 20 amp, high beams 35 amp.

The forward-most fuse is a 15 amp for the aux cooling fan. Then you should have 20-35-20-35 for right low beam, right high beam, left low beam, left high beam, respectively.

If you're in the USA and/or don't have correct British/Lucas replacments use this to convert to USA style fuse ratings:

you can get the correct fuses at any Jaguar dealer Parts Dept.

do you not have the Owner's Handbook in the glove box? All the fuses and bulbs are listed there.

The picture is fine, the vertical/standing fuse in the picture is a spare, there's room for two spares.

Cheers guys, I thought that's what it was.

I've a workshop manual, but couldn't find info on the headlamp fuse box.
Will be writing this down though ;)
