Bad starter relay or ????

I've been off of this project for a while, but I decided I want to get my baby running again, $4 gas or not. At this point, Iturn the key to start and nothing happens. The battery is good and as far as I know, the groundsare okay. Lights work, horn works, radio works, etc., but will notspin the starter. Before shewent completely, I used to have to wiggle the wires going in the the three(?) relays mounted onto the firewall. Does anyoneknow for certain what these relays control? I know that there is a way to bypass the ignition, starting the car from the engine compartment (watched my mechanic do it once but can't for the life of me, remember what he did). Any ideas on what the problem may be? I'm kinda stumped at this point. Thanks for your help.

Thought I'd throw out an update. I found a document late last night that seems to address this problem. Going to give it a shot today. I'll update the results. If anyone else is experiencing this situation or wants info on how to troubleshoot it, check out the link below:

Well, I've been able to get it to turn over now, but it won't start. It's been sitting for 2 years or so. I think the gas is bad. If I pull the plugs and put a little fresh gas in, it will start and run until it's gone (a few seconds).

May have to throw a fuel gauge on it and see what the pressure reads.

I have the same problem with mine,
It started on Saturday I had to get the car towed home.

My battery is ok.
Connections are ok.
Starter motor is ok.
Lights, horn all work.

I turn the key and nothing happends.
I assume it's the starter relay but I don't know how to take it out or repair it. I'd imagine it's a costly thing to replace?

TEaaron - it might not be the same thing as jagurit. His turns over now but won't start, yours won't even turn over. Try starting your car in neutral - it might be your neutral-safety switch.

Mine turned out to be the starter relay, bought a replacement for $65, re wired it and started first crank.
