Can I get some assistance from someone please?

I am having some trouble well the previouse owner that had the car ran it out of powersteering fluid and continued to drive it with no fluid in turn destroying the pump. when i goto make a left hand turn i hear a grrrmmmppt kind of sound like grinding with a hum to it and when i come to a stop at a light for a few seconds then go it makes a slight grind sound. if anyone can help me pinpoint what parts need replacing it would be helpful

Sounds like the pump is bad, if the car is running and parked, turn the steering wheel from lock to lock and if the pump groans it is bad and needs to be replaced, I sell them on www.jagbits.com

mine kept using power stering fluid but not leaking it out. It turned out to be the steering rack allowing oil to run between the low pressure and high pressure systems. Basically the seals in the rack were knackered. It can bve seen as when the engine was running the steering rack gaiters would ballon out under pressure. The lost oil was found sloshing around in the gaiters.
