Default Can someone please confirm.......

On the front of the 4.2 crankshaft you will find the distributor drive gear, followed by the lower timing chain gear and lastly a spacer before the timing cover goes on.

My question is concerning the distributor drive gear. If you look at it, it has a shoulder on one side but not on the other, i am pretty sure it is fitted with the shoulder outermost to provide space to the timing chain...

Can anyone please confirm this?

Thanks

Russell

Yep.

The spare under the bench, has the shoulder facing the front of the crankshaft, thus giving the chain clearence you mentioned.
