Climate control

Hey everyone,

Finally got my a/c up and running again. Works great on auto and hi but not on low for some reason. Where would you recommend I start? Problem with the fan switch itself ?

Assuming a Series II or III with Delanair Mk II climate control.....

Does the lowest fan speed operate in "auto" mode? That is, when the system is in 'auto', do you get operation of all 4 fan speeds, including low? And, only when 'low' is *manually selected* you have a problem?

If that's the case I would suspect the mode selector switch.

If you don't get low speed under any circumstances then I'd suspect the fan relay....which is actually four relays in one....behind the console LH cheek panel

Cheers

If you prefer moving pictures to words, you can see both the things Doug mentioned here in this video.

You can see the microswitches around 1:55, and the relay around 8:55

Lets hope it's your relay....... its certainly easier to replace than the pesky switches.

Great resource . . . Sticky please (Mods)

Wow!!!

All you wanted to know (and see) about the Delanair system. . . and were too terrified to venture into!
Between all of you - Doug D, Grant Francis, and the master of moving pictures and owner of fine accent, Scott - this is a one-of-a-kind resource for all SeriesII and SeriesIII owners.

Talk about turning a common failure and daunting multi-hundred-dollar anguish into a $10 bunch of garden variety micro-switches and seeing how it all operates, location of all components. Value to us enthusiasts? Immeasurable! Congrats to all of you.

Mods? . . . GGG? . . . please sticky this thread as appropriate.

Cheers,
