the famous factory 'Girling' shocks
I knew I had them stored away and found them.
these are the original Girling front shocks that my 1984 XJ-6 came with from Coventry.
the pictures tell the story. The four, rear, Girling shocks are still on the car.
Observe that the Factory Parts Manual illustration shows a (you guessed it), Girling shock.
at the bottom, each shock has "Girling Decarbon" imprinted on the cover.
