fuel c/over switch
 

I have a xj6 ser3 1985 car and am trying to change the fuel switch over the manual don't tell me anything can some one please help an old man thanks:(

You didn't say what problem you're having, specifically.

The switch is held into the panel by little tabs. These need no be pressed inward to release the switch. The only way I can think of doing this is to release the panel so you can get your hand behind it.

My memory is a bit foggy on the details, but.....


If you look above the radio you should see two screws. Remove the screws and the panel can be wriggled downward and then outward. Gently. The top edge of the panel has two 'tab-A into slot-B' arrangements.

If you have a trip computer you'll have to remove it first. Easy. It comes out from the front. Just get your fingernails under the edges and wriggle it out

Not sure if the radio needs to be removed as well. Someone with a better memory will chime in.
