Gas Tank question...

I have a 1977 XJ6-L and I was wondering if a gas tank from a 1984 xj6 would fit this car? The only thing i've noticed from a picture was a small spout on the bottom inside of the 84' tank. They are both "saddle bag" or "kidney" shaped. Thanks

Where is the fuel pump and where do you have access to the fuel sending units? There is a chance the 84 will work!
