Default GN (Green/Brown) wire to tail lights and reverse lamp

One of the biggest needs are the route of the GN wire from the fuse box to the rear of the car... plus the locations of the various bullet connectors. Fuses are all good and tested as "hot" on both sides....

Am trying to get the Green/Brown wire to the tail lights and and reverse lamp hot again. The rear valance being welded in place makes tracing the wire very difficult.

Also, not as important, but the Red wire that goes to the trunk mercury light is also "dead".

Am trying to finish up my Series 1 and these are two of the minor problems left to fix.

Default Found the GN wire

Wire is located on the bottom of the larger loom on the passenger side of the car. It is dead from the front door area to the rear... will trace it back from the fuse tomorrow.

Default

Reverse light is working now, bullet connector after the reverse switch. Cleaned and tightened.

Tail lights and trunk light will be next after watching the USC football game with friends.

Default Tail lights and trunk light were working - then switch fell apart

Fixed the reverse lights, bad bullet connector behind the shifter.

Had the tail lights and trunk light working... then the side light switch fell totally apart... I replaced it with a spare rear window defroster switch. There were dirty spade connectors and loose wire ends on the switch.

They looked the same, four connectors. I could not even test the old side light switch as it is in many pieces and that was the only four connector switch I had.

Am trying to source another side light switch to resolve the problem again. According to the parts CD the two switches have different PNs.

Default It is all working now with the new side light switch

It is all working now, new side light switch arrived today.
The wiring schematic for my car does not match the wire colors for the license plate light on top of the bumper.

There are two brown wires and a black (ground) the brown wires connect to the Red wire.

Reverse light still works as well after fixing the bad connection at the bullet connector behind the shift quadrant.
