Ground connections?

Ground connections?
Hello all,
Recently my battery charge light has come on although it still starts regularly both hot and cold with no noticeable performance change. The light grow brighter upon demand (rolling windows up/down, indicators, lights, etc.) and weaker when not using any accessories.
In attempting to diagnose this problem, I would like to clean all of the grounding points but I cannot seem to find an exhaustive list of where those might be located nor any written notes on cleaning methods. Does anyone care to guide me to these ground points? I'm sure they could use a going over.
thanks

im almost certain your issue would be a faulty regulator. could also be worn slip ring brushes not making very good contact. either way if its the original lucas alternator ide find an 80 amp bosch (or something around it) and retrofit it. the best ones are the ones with the rounded rectangular external regulator. its not too hard, just not in the best of places to be working from under the car. it would pay to check the battery connections and wiring on the alternator. if the light dosnt have a good earth then it may affect the charging but i doubt it. to be safe check it has the correct wattage globe (5 watt i think, or maybe 4?) and the connections in the lamp.
