HELP ME!!!
 

I just bought an 85 XJ6 for $2200. It is a beautiful car inside and out. The guy I bought it from, bought 3 vehicles from a lady because she needed fast cash. He knew nothing about the car except that it wouldn't start and the door handles would not work properly. He took it to someone he knew and had the door handles fixed and a switch put on the battery so that when it was not being driven, the battery could be unhooked. We bought it and I did not have any problem with it starting ( I think because I drive it every day and he didn't) until..........now. The message module has showed: Bulb Failure; Anti-lock Failure and Low Brake Pressure since I got the car. We checked the brake fluid and it is full. The brakes work fine. The Air Conditioner/Heater also did not blow either. We poked around and found a condenser in the middle dash, left side. Moved it around a bit and now the air/heater blower is working but.........I get a message that says FUELLING FAILURE. It also is starting hard and I actually had to jump it today. The car does not have a manual so we are flying blind at this point. Any suggestions?

do yourself a favor and disconnect the battery this weekend for a couple of hours and let the computer erase. start all over. you might be chasing a ghost. where at in ohio? i live in copley,ohio.

omg, i think we have the same ghost! i have a 88 xj6 and i have the same problems plus some.
i cant find my fuel cover release and does ur car have a emergency trunk release, if so where are they on ur car maybe they're in the same place on mine.

did you say 1985 ? that year does not have ABS or any message center for that matter. Did you mean 1995?
