Hood leaper

Hi All, Can anyone tell me if the hood leaper on an 87 XJ6 VDP should be chrome finished or a mill looking aluminum finish?

If you have to have one, a chrome 5" is the most accepted...
I like my bonnets bare, just like they left the factory... :)
