My first question is: why do you have a carburetor? Your car should be fuel injected unless you have a V8 conversion with a carb.

Yeah, Alyn beat me to the ?.

If it is V8 powered with a carb engine, I hope you are not in California.

Again I'm not all to knowledgeable in the automotive mechanic field so it was guess because I couldn't find any air in take systems with a fitting for that one hose that's leading into the air filter canister

Something you might find interesting: Take the lid off the front of the air filter cannister. This gives good intake noise.

Are you after more power?

I'm not aware of any aftermarket pre-fab intake system for these cars. You can get a K&N filter element...but that won't do much at all for power. Virtually, nothing, in my experience.

Some eliminate the filter canister entirely and install an aftermarket cone filter. Might help a little, you'd probably need a dyno to measure the difference.

To be honest there are probably many things on the car that deserve attention before the intake system. For example, that yellow plastic fan. They are known for cracking and literally flying apart...especially common if the fan clutch has seized.... causing lots of damage. That would be a good thing to check on !

Anyhow, welcome aboard

Cheers
DD
