Default I love this car

It's not a perfect specimen. I spent all weekend disconnecting, cleaning, and reconnecting every headlight wire, and the windshield washer bottle is currently on a shelf awaiting attention. The only way I could get the hood close to level was to remove the springs, so when I work on it, the hood is bungee-corded to an eye-hook on the garage wall.

But seriously this car is beautiful and a joy to drive. I have a 25-mile commute to work that I love in this car. The last city blocks run past a line of glass-fronted buildings that catch the car's reflection in profile--short front overhang, long smooth line to the tapered rear, where if the sun hits right, you catch a reflection off the chrome detail on the trunk lid.

That's all. No complaints, no questions, just soft-core Jaguar love.

Bryan, if you take the safety link off the hood you won't need a bungee cord, because it will balance Just Fine on its hinges. It's fairly steady there too, because it's actually resting on the front bumper.

Probably safe to say there are few Perfect specimens in here if any, but most of us love them in spite of (or perhaps because of) their warts.

There's No car on the planet as beautiful in profile (or any angle for that matter) as a Jaguar Xj6 series car.

I remember an article in the late 1980's, I think it was in Esquire Magazine, in which they polled women to see which was their favorite "but I can't afford one" car.

The Series 3 XJ-6 won by a whopping 93%. So I bought one.
