Ign. Switch question
 

Hey all,
I have a 1987 XJSC, and the Ign. Switch went south for the winter. Anyway, I went and bought a generic switch, works great, but I have 2 questions.
What are the two small brown wires on the Lucas switch? I do not have tehm hooked up on the new switch, and the car seems to start and run fine. Where would I hook up the brown wires on the new switch?
The second question, how do I remove the old switch and housing? What effects will this have? Will removing it disable my steering lock? (2 keys kinda sucks!)
