Ignition Coil Leaking Oil
Can an ignition coil that has leaked it's oil out and /or the condition that caused the leak have shorted out a fuel injection system component?
Due to the multitude of "+" and "-" connections to the coil I am curious about this.

I am assuming S3 6cylinder here???.
I doubt it. Tacho, maybe, Ign Amp module, for sure.
Those are just my thoughts as I visualise the wiring.
I have not had a leaker, only a few that have exploded, and a new coil was all I replaced.
Someone else who has the pleasure of a coil leak out and the damage done will slide by eventually.

Hmmm. I've not ever seen or heard of any damage being done from the oil leaking out......except to the coil itself, that is. The oil is in the coil to keep it cool.
The only tie-in to the F. I. system I can think of is the white/black ECU trigger wire coming off the "-" coil post. I'm not sure how a overheated coil could damage anything via that wire.
Cheers
