I'm buying a 97 XJ6 Sport: any advice?

Hello all
I'm new in the Foruns and in Jaguar, so I'll go straight to the point.
I'm seeing tomorrow (20th October) two used 3.2 XJ6 Sport, from 1997 and 96, both with 150 miles, full Jag history and several new parts fitted, mainly exhaust in both. The price is less than 1700 pounds.
I have two questions for you guys:
1 - I know about the fuel consuption, but I have no idea about service costs and general maintenance... Is it TOO expensive, or is it the same as an Audi, also from 1997 (I have one, diesel)?
2 - Please advise me on any details that I should look for, to avoid future problems...

Please reply urgently, has I'm seeing the cars tomorrow and I only found the forum today...

Cheers

Check for leaks in the steering rack and listen for suspension noises. These are heavy cars so you can expect these items to fail. They are really solid cars for the most part.

Also check that the seats move and the memory functions work. Also, check the movement in the steering wheel motors and if the clock is burned out.

I would say it's on the same level as the Audi.
