Hi I’m about to buy my first jaguar it’s a xj6 1986 has 200000 kilo the seller is dropping the price from 3600$ to 2000$ the car seem ok with no rust I know those cars are hard to sell but I’m confused should I buy it ??
Any issue about the car any problem that I should look for it’s my I have already 5 cars I allways wanted a jag but with everybody telling me to be carful with this model as a money Pitt. Any advice should be appreciate thanks Cheers !!

Any 30-35 year old Jag is gonna need work....especially in that price range. It's a rare one that doesn't and the price would be wayyyyy higher. If you're a half-decent DIYer these cars are not that hard to deal with. Parts prices are usually sensible; tons of internet support; it's a fairly low-tech car by today's standards.

Paint, chrome, leather, etc is hugely expensive so if strong cosmetics are important to you buy a car that already looks great. The mechanical repairs usually are not that expensive.....assuming DIY labor

Anyhow, read the buyers guide as a starting point and then you might have more specific questions
