Just discovered she doesn’t like rain
My gorgeous “new” ‘87 wouldn’t start this morning, it rained all day yesterday and was humid this morning from all the rain. Always started so easy when it wasn’t raining, what should I look for and how can I “rainproof” her?
The pic was taken three days ago befor it rained, ran and drove beautifully. By the way I live in Georgia, shipped the car from Southern California where I used to live lol

One possible cause is a cracked or shorted distributor cap, which can cause such symptoms.
You can add the description of your vehicle to your signature so it's available with each post. Based on the number plate, this is either not a California car, or someone had personalised number plates on her before.

The plate is an updated one, some people don’t keep the old plates, I was that way when I was living out there, the newer plates looked nice...now many are putting the old color plates back on their cars, as the DMV is reintroduced the black and yellow plates, and I hear the blue plates are coming back

1. Sure is a great looking car.
2. As good a bet as there ever can be that it is Bosch Jetronic managed. Ooops, if it is a lump, I loose.
3. Agree, it is a moisture shorted distributor cap. Little or no consequence in SOCAL's moderate clime. But, GA is far more humid.
4. Fixes.
A. Sun dry as done.
B. WD40, it's intended use, a desicant.
C. Carbon Tetrachloride, if you can find this banned dry clean intended chemical.
D. Examine the underside and topside for cracks or even crazing. Swipe some nail polish from milady and apply.
E. Time for a good replacement cap and rotor. Beware, lots of junk out there.
