Leather seats with cracks
Anyone of ideas on how to fix the leather seats that have one or two major cracks in them. I have a 1984 XJ6 vanden plas that runs good , one owner, 88,000 miles that I will eventually sell but the car's interior looks great except for the two front seats.
An upholstery shop could probably replace just that section that's bad.
Check out Rob Laughton, at Leatherique Canada...
They have crack filler that works well on them as long as the splits aren't to bad.
There are some details of the process on his site...

Also, depending on where the cracks are, it isn't out of the question to find used bottom squabs. They are replaced simply by removing one screw at the front of the seat...
I'd stick with original (or refurbished original) other than an upholstery shop recover, or seat covers if I could.
Cheers
