I got the keys made for my car today. The locksmith was able to cut the keys using the single key code I was given by the dealership.
Part of the code was for the ignition key and another part was for the door/ gas tanks/trunk key.
The key blank for the door was a brand called SILCA, CEM2 & CEM3. Made in Italy.
It all joy now except for the gas prices.

However, I have a set of original keys on a fob from the original dealer that includes a small fibre disc bearing what I presume is the key code consisting of 2 letters and 3 numbers.

I wonder if the code works for both keys, choose the type of key, door or ignition, and the code works for both?

Just a thought.
As I suggested then !

Glad you got it done after all the hassle.

I'm like you, Carl. I am a sucker for a good flashlight. I carry one in my pocket every day; I have four sitting side by side in the shop; there are two head lamps hanging side by side on hooks in the shop; I have at least one flashlight in every car; I have two other "power outage" flashlights in the bedroom; my wife has one in her desk (at least I gave her one); and I think there are a couple in the camping gear room. You can't have too many.

Just for fun I should go and actually Count my flashlights.... I see 8 right here on my desk without even trying!
I know there are at Least that many on my cabinet in the garage, 2 in my bathroom, 3 in the bedroom, husband has at least 3 on his desk, one to read the thermostat, one in the hallway, 3 in the kitchen, several Emergency lights for out here in the Stix when the power goes off, a 6-cell Maglite in the closet and probably others I forgot to list.
Maybe I need Intervention...........

They are like clothes hangers; they multiply in the dark!
