Default Lowering front end on XJ6C

I want to drop my front end a few inches. Any aftermarket front coils that are shorter for this car?

Take a look at King Springs on Ebay Australia. Not cheap, but they have a lower set (front or rear)....

Beautiful car, and yes, assuming the wheels are the same size, the nose looks several inches high. Is it due to a lighter v8 engine?

Yes, V8 swap. But those are 18” rims not the 15” that was original. Just lower profile tires to compensate.
interested in options to lower that nose.

King Springs or not you can still dial in the height with pan spacers.

This Thread might shine some light. I have used aluminum and steel spacers. Both are fine but I prefer steel.

i lowered my front on XJS , used steel spacers and it is surprising how much 1/4" inch made lower!

but it also raised the rear up about the same amount, maybe more , XJS has a lot of over hang on rear!
it seemed to pivot from the rear wheel centers!

When I did my Chevy conversion I had the same problem.
I resolved the issue by removing the spacers from the coil spring (2 on each side) and 1 1/16 grade 8 washers at the spring pan.

From this
to this

spring spacers

The XJ40 wheel looks great, seats look inviting. I prefer a wood dash though. Is that dash treatment a sticker?

Jshed, Was this originally a 4.2 litre that you V8 swapped?

What engine are you running now?

If so, I though she would have dropped more than this on the front???

Yes, 4.2 for V8. I was also surprised at the weight difference.

Carbon fiber wrap on dash. I wanted something brighter than the dark gauges and brown dash.

What tranny are you running?

So Sanchez, you just took out the upper spacers and then added the washers to the spring plates to lower the plate a little? The reason I am asking is I will be doing this to the 1974 car I just got because it has had the 350 swap done and sits high in the front. Please let me know and thanks.

Yes. I resolved the issue by removing the spacers from the coil spring (2 on each side) and 1 1/16 grade 8 washers at the spring pan.
After driving the car around for a couple of months, the springs settled and I removed the grade 8 washers I had added at the spring pan.
You will have to design a tool to remove the coil springs from the car.

Used a local restoration shop, they had a process to slowly heat the springs to lower.

2” front drop

Is the ride still as smooth using the heat treatment method to lower the front?
Regardless, the stance looks great and so is your car.
