Default my xj12 runs real rough.

I just bought an '85 xj12, bought this thing a couple of weeks ago, had to drive 300kms to get home and it ran smooth. Once I got home it was a different story...now I can't seem to get the thing to run right. when the engine is cold, it's hard to keep it running, as soon as you give it gas, it dies. Anyone familiar with this problem? Help please!

Yes, sorta.

It seems that the engine runs rough when cold but better when warmed up. Thusly, one guess is that any cod enrichment system is not performing. That means there is a sensor for engine temperature other than one to send a signal to the temperature guage.

So t is off to any archives here or on another forum as to fuel enrichment on this engine to see how it is done.

Start with google Jaguar V12 fuel enrichment.
