Name this section/part of a series 1 XJ6 :-)
 

hey guys,

Thanks for reading - I am looking for the correct name of a specific area of my car. After being underneath my car, it is pretty rusted, scraped and I would like to try and replace it. BUT- I have no idea what to call it when I am calling around.

It is where the tailpipes stick out of the body...below the read bumper.

Cant add a pic to show, but I am sure you guys know where I am talking about.

I've always called it a rear valance.

Yup, me too. and, they also have a front valence.

It definitely IS the "Rear Valance", and I once replaced one using a genuine Jaguar replacement panel, (in 1991). The panel fitted perfectly.
