Nardi Steering wheel installed
Well, I finally received the new Nardi steering wheel and hub adapter. I'm thrilled!
Installed it today and everything fits perfectly and everything works. The wheel sits maybe 1/4" closer to the driver (with telescopic adjustment at full retreat), but that does not seem to be an issue. The original wheel was already a bit too far forward from the turn stalks anyway. The fact that the Nardi wheel rim is thicker seems to compensate nicely. The hub I ended up with is Nardi P/N 4323.00.2202F. So for anyone interested, It bolts right in and the horn wire supplied is a breeze. No need to remove the existing nylon/brass rod - the wire attaches directly to that rod and the Nardi horn push works prefectly. The wheel itself is very high quality, without a blemish and the rim stain matches perfectly to the rest of the wood. Best money I've spent on the car to date (well except for those things you cannot see - ie. brakes and shocks etc.) MrSteeringWheel.com who supplied and shipped the Wheel and hub are in Las Vegas, and they are superb. They helped as much as they could - they could not get responses to our queries of Nardi re the correct hub - Nardi lists two P/N's for hubs for an 85 XJ6, but I took the risk and it all worked out well with this one. I'm so pleased! I very highly recommend this outfit should anyone consider this upgrade. Anyone have questions, please feel free to contact me. |
Happy to hear it worked out well for you.

Camera ?
Please tell me who can afford a Nardi Wheel & Adapter & doesn't have a cell phone ?

The two different part numbers are for a deformable or solid hub. It took theee months for Nardi just to confirm that to me and then another nine to get the deformable hub to my door.
