Need some help in ID-ing this Series 2
7 Attachment(s)
I ran into this Series 2 today, which was parked outside one of the few "restorers" here in Taiwan (I write "restorer" in brackets as I should never ever consider to buy a car from them, you know what I mean).
Anyway, I had a quick check, and to my surprise the body seems to be in a far better condition then I have ever seen before, without any visible rust or bad panels. These cars are very very rare here (have only seen 2), and although I know all the cons of such project, I will be running the numbers for a multi-year restoration. As a start, I was wondering if anyone here can determine the year (and perhaps specification) from the pictures (sorry for the bad quality). Much appreciated! First I'll disclose that I'm not a Ser II expert !
The only thing I noticed was the black-rimmed instruments (as opposed to silver-rimmed). I *think* this suggests a late production Ser II....like 1978-ish, perhaps? Others will chime in Cheers DD |

I saw all of the same things and I'm on side with you guys. Definitely a late series II car with a European spec. I've never seen a deck lid luggage rack like that!

I was holding my reply as I was hoping for some good news to announce.
But it seems I can't get to an agreement on the car (yet). So right now I can only thank you for the reply and info provided, and will surely get back to you if there should be more news on this beauty. Thanks! Eric |
