New to the Jaguar community, i have some questions about the vacuum brake conversion for my 1988 jag XJ6, not sure if i want to buy the kit or make it myself. Thanks

if it is a 1988, you have a XJ-40, the fourth generation of XJ-6.

check in the XJ-40 forum. This forum is for the XJ-6 up to 1987 only.
