oil fill cap

Default oil fill cap
Hey folks,

I know I'm going to drive y'all crazy with questions about this car - the oil fill cap, seems to be aluminum - is it supposed to have a gasket or rubber seal? Mine seems to be leaking, or not sealing to the valve cover and I'm thinking I'm missing something

It should have an oring in the cap.

a flat neoprene seal. Similar to the large seal for the tank drains.
